The SIP 1862890 is a 3-axis horizontal machining center with optional 4-axis capability, designed for medium to heavy-duty production work. The machine features a 40" × 40" work table capable of supporting workpieces up to 4,400 lbs, with a horizontally oriented spindle that delivers 20 HP at the standard 6,000 RPM, extendable to 30,000 RPM with optional spindle configurations. The system incorporates a 12-station automatic tool changer with optional expansion to 100 tools and a 20-second tool change time, enabling efficient production workflows. A standard 2-pallet changer facilitates continuous operation by allowing workpiece loading while machining proceeds on the opposite pallet. Travel distances of 40" across all three primary axes (X, Y, Z) provide substantial working envelope, with rapid traverse rates of 393 IPM and configurable feed rates up to 200 IPM ensuring responsive positioning and cutting operations. The optional B-axis rotary indexing with continuous 360° adjustment capability enables multi-face machining without manual repositioning, enhancing versatility for complex component production.
