This vertical machining center features a large fixed table measuring 472" x 138", capable of supporting an exceptionally heavy maximum workpiece weight of 330,700 lbs, ideal for massive and heavy-duty machining tasks. The vertical spindle utilizes a #50 taper with a maximum spindle speed of 1,000 RPM and a 120 HP motor rated for 30-minute operation, providing substantial power for heavy cutting and material removal. The machine is equipped with an automatic tool changer (ATC) carrying 120 tools standard, with an option to increase capacity to 180 tools, enabling long uninterrupted machining cycles and versatility in tooling. It operates with 3 linear axes (X, Y, Z) with travels of 492", 185", and 79" respectively. The rapid traverse rate for these axes is up to 787 inches per minute, while the max feed rate is 236 inches per minute, ensuring efficient and precise positioning and tool paths. The machine can be optionally upgraded with a 4th axis. The combination of an extremely large work envelope, a robust spindle with substantial horsepower, and a high-capacity tool changer allows it to handle heavy, large-scale industrial machining applications such as mold making, aerospace structures, or heavy machinery components.
