SNK HPS-120A HORIZONTAL MACHINING CENTER

The SNK HPS-120A is a horizontal machining center designed for heavy-duty, large workpieces with a robust work table measuring 120" by 48" (optional 169" length) and a maximum workpiece weight capacity of 8,800 lbs. It features a horizontal spindle with a #50 Big Plus taper capable of 5,000 RPM and powered by a 50 HP motor rated for 30 minutes, offering substantial cutting power for demanding machining operations. The machine supports 5 axes of movement, with travels of 124" (X, optional 175"), 55" (Y), 39.3" (Z), and a 90° A-axis rotation, enabling complex and precise multi-axis machining. The rapid traverse rates for X, Y, and Z axes are uniform at 800 inches per minute, with maximum feed rates of 400 ipm on each axis, balancing speed and accuracy. Equipped with an Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) holding 40 tools standard, expandable to 80 tools, it offers efficient tool management for varied machining tasks. A pallet changer is also optionally available with two pallets to enhance workpiece handling and reduce setups.
