The SNK RB-2N Vertical Machining Center is a robust 4-axis CNC bridge-type mill designed for high-capacity production environments. It features a large worktable measuring 110.2" x 47.2", with an optional extended length of 169.3", supporting workpieces up to 11,020 lbs. The vertical spindle utilizes a #50 taper, delivering up to 3,000 RPM standard (with an optional 6,000 RPM configuration) and is powered by a 30 HP motor for demanding machining tasks. Tooling is managed via a 24-station automatic tool changer (ATC), expandable to 50 tools, ensuring efficient operations and minimal downtime. The machine is equipped with a Fanuc CNC control system, providing precise and reliable operation. Axis travels are substantial, with X-axis movement up to 171.3", Y-axis at 63", and Z-axis at 15.7", all achieving a maximum feed rate of 189 IPM and rapid traverse speeds of 394 IPM for high-speed positioning. The RB-2N’s multi-bridge column construction ensures rigidity and accuracy during heavy cutting. Optional features include a pallet changer with two pallets, enhancing productivity for unattended operation.
