The Sodick AQ1500L Wire EDM Machine is a premium large-format wire-cut EDM designed for high-precision machining of large and heavy workpieces. Featuring a robust CNC (LN2WH) control system, the AQ1500L delivers exceptional accuracy and reliability for demanding industrial applications. The machine boasts an impressive X/Y/Z axis travel of 1,500 x 1,000 x 600 mm and U/V axis travel of 1,520 x 1,020 mm, enabling extensive machining flexibility. Its direct-drive system, powered by linear motors and linear glass scales on all axes, ensures world-class positioning accuracy that remains consistent over time. The integrated structure design provides the largest installation space and machining area in its class, supporting workpieces up to 8,000 kg. The AQ1500L is equipped with advanced features such as the LP2WH high-speed generator, Super Jet AWT (ultra-high-speed automatic wire threader), wire chopper, and a 20 kg wire bobbin for extended unmanned operation. The machine’s communication technology operates at 1 Gbit/sec, enhancing data transfer speed and operational efficiency. Additional features include a rise-and-fall work tank, automatic water level control, dielectric cooling unit, voltage stabilizer, and a 15-inch TFT screen with USB and LAN interfaces. The AQ1500L’s dimensions are 220.4” x 174.6” x 115.35” (5,600 x 4,435 x 2,930 mm), and it weighs 33,069 lbs (15,000 kg). The machine is powered by a 3-phase, 50/60 Hz, 15 kVA electrical supply.
