The STAR SR-20RIV is a high-precision horizontal CNC Swiss-type machining center optimized for complex parts requiring tight tolerances in industries such as automotive, medical, and electronics. It features a single main spindle capable of turning diameters up to 1.970" and lengths of 8.000", supporting bar diameters up to 0.780". The sub spindle handles diameters up to 0.780" and lengths up to 3.160". Both the main and sub spindles run at speeds up to 10,000 RPM, with the main spindle delivering 5.00 HP and the sub spindle 2.90 HP. Its tool system includes two slide-type carriers, supporting up to 6 turning and 4 rotary tools each, with rotary tools rated at 1.00 HP and 800 RPM. The machine integrates 9 axes, enabling simultaneous multi-tool cutting for enhanced efficiency and precision. Key axis travels include 0.630" (optionally 0.790") in X, 3.500" in Y, and 8.000" in Z, all with rapid traverse rates of 1,375 ipm, ensuring fast and accurate positioning. The machine offers an advanced 27-position tool station capable of holding up to 41 tools, including power-driven B-axis tools for milling and drilling.
