The lathe construction employs a heavy-duty, fully ribbed, closed-grain cast iron bed 27.5 inches wide, with induction-hardened and precision ground bedways that ensure rigidity and long-term accuracy during machining. Its clutched headstock and dynamically balanced anti-friction mounted shafts contribute to reliability and smooth spindle rotation. The machine includes a quick-change gearbox capable of cutting American (inch), metric, and module threads, enabling versatile threading operations.
