This CNC lathe features a 20-inch swing and a machining length of 120 inches, designed for high-precision turning operations on large workpieces. It is equipped with the advanced FAGOR 8055 TC control system, offering robust and versatile CNC capabilities for both production and unitary part machining. The FAGOR 8055 TC provides up to 3-axis control, supporting a full range of canned cycles for turning, facing, taper turning, and threading, with user-defined cycle options and conversational programming for ease of use. The control features a fully alphanumeric keyboard, USB and RS-232 serial ports for program transfer, and high-speed communication up to 115 K baud rate. It supports ISO and Fagor programming languages, with background editing, automatic tool calibration, tool inspection, and mid-program start functions. The system includes a high-speed integrated PLC with 16 inputs and 8 outputs, digital servo or analog drive communication, and override controls for feedrate and spindle speed. The control also offers on-board graphic editing, multiple nesting levels, and programmable spindle speeds. For enhanced functionality, the lathe supports tool calibration and measuring cycles with intuitive help graphics, as well as spindle orientation (M19), synchronization, and tangential control. The machine’s control system enables linear, circular, and helical interpolation, with options for look-ahead and retrace functions.
