Technical Description
This CNC lathe features a 24-inch swing and a 52-inch machining length, making it suitable for a wide range of turning operations on medium to large workpieces. The machine is equipped with the advanced FAGOR 8055 TC control system, which provides robust CNC functionality for precise and efficient machining. The FAGOR 8055 TC offers a fully alphanumeric keyboard, a color LCD display, and multiple operating modes including execution, single block, MDI/Teach-In, jog/manual, communications, and conversational programming. It supports both ISO and high-level programming languages, with background editing, tool calibration, and user-defined canned cycles for enhanced productivity. The control system includes RS-232 and USB ports for easy program transfer and communication with external devices, as well as an optional Ethernet connection for network integration. The CNC provides up to 5 MB of onboard storage, expandable to 48 MB, and supports a wide range of canned cycles for turning, facing, taper turning, threading, and more. The system also features automatic tool calibration, tool inspection with auto-return, mid-program start, and override controls for feedrate and spindle speed. With high-speed digital servo communication, integrated PLC (16 inputs/8 outputs), and support for analog and digital drives, the FAGOR 8055 TC ensures reliable and flexible control for demanding machining applications.
