It is equipped with the Fagor 8055TC control system, a versatile and user-friendly CNC platform designed for high-precision turning operations. The Fagor 8055TC offers advanced programming capabilities, including ISO and conversational programming, canned cycles for turning, facing, tapering, and threading, as well as background editing and on-board graphic simulation. The control supports up to four spindle speed ranges, managed via M41–M44 commands, allowing optimal speed and torque selection for various machining requirements. It provides constant surface speed control, spindle orientation (M19), and synchronization functions for enhanced machining accuracy. The system includes a high-speed integrated PLC with 16 digital inputs and 8 outputs, expandable via remote modules, and supports analog and digital servo communication. Communication options include RS232 and USB ports, with Ethernet available as an option. The control features a full alphanumeric keyboard, interactive graphic data entry, and override controls for feedrate and spindle speed. Tool management is streamlined with support for up to 256 tools, automatic tool data backup, and user-defined canned cycles.
