A+Technical Description
The TAKAMAZ XY-2000 is a high-performance horizontal machining center designed for complex, high-throughput turning and milling operations. Featuring dual spindles and twin turrets, it supports simultaneous machining for maximum efficiency. Each main spindle has an 8.000" chuck diameter, a maximum bar diameter of 2.630", and delivers up to 3,500 RPM with 20 HP, enabling robust cutting performance. The machine’s primary turret accommodates up to 12 turning tools and 12 rotary tools, while the secondary turret offers 8 turning and 12 rotary tool stations. Rotary tools operate at up to 4,000 RPM with 5 HP, supporting versatile milling and drilling functions. The XY-2000 is equipped with standard on-center and C-axis mill/drill capabilities, with optional off-center and Y-axis functions for expanded machining flexibility. With 6 standard axes and optional 7-axis configurations, it provides precise multi-directional control. X-axis travel reaches 8.860" and Z-axis travel is 17.720", supporting a wide range of workpiece sizes. The machine’s design allows for two simultaneous cutting tools, maximizing productivity. Engineered for heavy-duty cutting and accuracy, the XY-2000 is ideal for demanding production environments requiring compound machining in a single setup.
