The machine accommodates bar stock with a maximum diameter of 0.630 inches and can process workpieces up to 2.950 inches in length with a maximum turning diameter of 4.000 inches on the main spindle. The SAS 16.6 is equipped with advanced control systems including cross-slides, independent feeds, and counter-spindles, all governed by a single programmable camshaft for synchronized operations. The machine supports up to six simultaneous cutting tools distributed across its primary and secondary tool carriers (slide-type configurations), each capable of handling turning and rotary operations. With its six-axis configuration, the system delivers exceptional operational flexibility for complex part geometries. Productivity reaches up to 50-80 parts per minute depending on part complexity.
