The Tos Varnsdorf TOSTEC OPTIMA is a high-performance horizontal machining center designed for medium to large-sized components, offering exceptional speed, precision, and versatility. It features a robust table measuring 47.000" (L) x 47.000" (W), with an optional extended width of 63.000", capable of supporting workpieces up to 44,000 lbs. The horizontal spindle utilizes a CAT-50 taper (ISO-50 optional), delivering a maximum spindle speed of 4,200 RPM and 38 HP (30-minute rating) for demanding machining tasks. Tooling is managed by an automatic tool changer (ATC) with a standard capacity of 40 tools, expandable to 120, and a rapid tool change time of 20 seconds. The machine is available with a pallet changer (2 standard, up to 4 optional) for increased productivity. It operates with 5 axes (expandable to 7), including rotary axes A (110°) and B (360°), enabling complex multi-sided machining.
