The Tos Varnsdorf TOSTEC VARIA is a robust horizontal machining center designed for heavy-duty applications, featuring a large 71" x 71" table (optionally expandable to 71" x 98") capable of supporting workpieces up to 44,000 lbs. It incorporates a horizontal spindle with CAT-50 taper (ISO-50 optional) delivering up to 4,000 RPM powered by a 47 HP motor rated for 30 minutes, ensuring strong cutting performance for large parts. The machine offers a 40-tool automatic tool changer (ATC), expandable to 120 tools, with a tool change time of 20 seconds, supporting efficient multi-tool operations. Optional pallet handling is available with up to 4 pallets to improve production throughput. The VARIA features 5-axis machining capability with optional expansion to 7 axes, including rotary B-axis with 360° rotation and A-axis with ±110° tilt, enabling complex multi-axis machining tasks. The axes travel ranges include an X-axis travel of 78" (optionally 157"), Y-axis travel of 63" (optionally 98"), and Z-axis travel of 63" (optionally 98"), all with maximum feed rates of 590 ipm and rapid traverse up to 787 ipm, enhancing productivity and precision.
