A+Technical Description
The Toyoda FH1000SX is a robust horizontal machining center designed for high-volume and heavy-duty precision machining. It features a large table measuring 39.4" x 31.5" capable of supporting workpieces up to 6,600 lbs, with optional rotary table support. The horizontal spindle utilizes a CAT50 taper and runs at a standard 6,000 RPM, with optional speeds up to 8,000 RPM, powered by a 40 HP motor with a 50 HP upgrade available, delivering high torque (up to 1,009 Nm) for demanding operations such as large diameter face milling and boring. The machine has a 4-axis configuration (with a 5-axis option), providing travel distances of 63" (X), 55.1" (Y), and 72.8" (Z), and full 360° B-axis rotation for versatile part orientation. Rapid traverse rates reach up to 2,126 inches per minute, enabling fast and efficient machining cycles. Tool management is facilitated by an automatic tool changer (ATC) with 60 standard tool positions, expandable up to 330 for extended job capacity. The pallet changer is standard with two pallets for continuous machining operations. Built on a Meehanite cast iron base with dual ballscrew drives on Y and Z axes, the FH1000SX ensures exceptional rigidity, vibration suppression, and positional accuracy. It is controlled via a FANUC 31iMB Plus CNC system with an intuitive Toyopuc-Touch HMI. This machining center is optimized for high productivity and precision in machining large, heavy workpieces with complex geometries in automotive, aerospace, and heavy equipment manufacturing sectors.
