Technical Description

The Trimill HF 1212 - 2012 is a high-dynamic, 7-axis horizontal machining center designed for demanding applications in pressing tools, injection molds, and forging dies. Featuring a rigid, closed box-in-box construction with a cross-beam (X-axis) and cross-slide, the machine ensures exceptional stability, accuracy, and thermal symmetry for consistently perfect cutting results. The table size measures 62.99" x 62.99", supporting workpieces up to 33,069 lbs, and comes standard with a rotary table for 5-sided machining. The spindle operates horizontally with an HSK-A100 taper (optional HSK-A63), achieving up to 10,000 rpm (24,000 rpm optional) and a 30-minute power rating of 57 HP (43 HP optional). Tooling is managed by an automatic tool changer (ATC) with a standard capacity of 12 tools (expandable to 50), and a pallet changer is available as an option. The machine offers extensive travel ranges: X-axis up to 78.7" (standard 47.24"), Y-axis 47.24", Z-axis 31.5", with A-axis rotation up to 94° and B-axis up to 360°. Maximum feed and rapid traverse rates reach 787 ipm and 1,181 ipm, respectively, across all linear axes. The upright gantry configuration and floor-level access enhance ergonomics and productivity, allowing roughing and finishing operations in a single setup. Exceptional chip removal, especially for deep cavity cutting, and a balanced thermo-symmetric design further contribute to high surface quality and operational efficiency.
