Technical Description
The TRIMILL VF 4525 is a high-performance 5-axis vertical machining center designed for large-scale, precision machining with a fixed table. It features substantial travels of 177.165 inches (X), 98.425 inches (Y), and 59.055 inches (Z), supporting workpieces up to 7,000 kg/m² on a 5,000 mm by 2,800 mm clamping surface. The machine is driven by a powerful 25 kW spindle delivering up to 10,000 RPM, utilizing an HSK-A100 tool taper with a 30-position automatic tool changer for high versatility and efficiency in tool management.
Its articulated spindle supports a tilting range of -2° to +92° and a head rotation of ±240°, with clamping torques of 17,200 Nm (tilting axis) and 15,000 Nm (pivot axis), enabling complex 5-sided machining in a single setup. The rigid box-in-box gantry design combined with UHPC concrete base ensures excellent thermal stability, vibration damping, and machining accuracy up to 0.008 mm positioning precision, meeting VDI/DGQ 3441 standards.
Feed rates reach 40,000 mm/min with acceleration up to 3 m/s², supporting dynamic and efficient roughing and finishing operations. Control is handled by the Heidenhain iTNC 530 CNC system, offering versatile, workshop-oriented contouring control with advanced software options for adaptive feed, touch-probe cycles, and kinematic optimization.
Overall, the VF 4525 delivers a balance of large working envelope, rigidity, precision, and advanced CNC control for efficient and accurate machining of pressing tools, injection molds, and forging dies. The machine's ergonomic design allows easy access and maintenance while maximizing floor space utilization. It weighs approximately 103,900 kg, reflecting its robust construction optimized for heavy-duty manufacturing environments.
