The TSUGAMI/REM SALES BW12 Horizontal Machining Center is a high-performance CNC Swiss-type lathe designed for precision machining of small-diameter parts. It features a main spindle with a maximum turning diameter of 0.470" and a maximum turning length of 6.690", supporting bar stock up to 0.470" in diameter. The machine is equipped with dual main spindles, each capable of 12,000 RPM and 3.0 HP, and a sub-spindle running at 12,000 RPM with 2.0 HP, enabling efficient front and back machining operations. The tooling system includes two independent slides, allowing up to 10 turning tools and 10 rotary tools, with rotary tool power rated at 0.66 HP and 0.66 kW. The BW12 supports simultaneous cutting with two tools, enhancing productivity. Secondary milling and drilling functions are standard, both on-center and off-center, with optional C-axis and Y-axis capabilities for complex part geometries. The machine operates on a 7-axis base configuration, with options to expand to 8 axes for advanced multitasking.
