A+Technical Description
The TSUGAMI/REM SALES TMU-1 Horizontal Machining Center is a high-precision, multifunction Swiss-type turning center engineered for complex, complete-part machining of small-diameter components. It features a main spindle with a maximum turning length of 9.840" and a bar diameter capacity of 1.500", complemented by a sub-spindle supporting up to 1.560" diameter. Both main and sub-spindles operate at 6,000 RPM with 14.75 HP, providing robust power and accuracy for demanding applications. The machine is equipped with a 16-station turret and an automatic tool changer (ATC) supporting up to 118 tools, enabling flexible tool storage and rapid tool changes. Rotary tools reach speeds of 10,000 RPM with 7.5 HP, enhancing milling and drilling capabilities. The TMU-1 supports simultaneous use of two cutting tools and integrates secondary mill/drill functions on- and off-center, with full C-axis and Y-axis functionality for advanced contouring and off-axis operations. With a total of nine axes, the machine delivers precise control and versatility. Axis travels include X (14.960"), Y (4.330"), and Z (9.810"), all with maximum feed and rapid traverse rates of 945 ipm, ensuring high-speed, efficient machining. The TMU-1 is ideal for high-mix, low-volume production environments requiring tight tolerances and complex part geometries.
