The Union PR 200/250 Horizontal Machining Center is a robust, high-performance machine optimized for heavy-duty and precise machining tasks. The machine operates with a horizontal spindle configuration equipped with a CAT 50 taper, with an optional 60 taper. The spindle delivers up to 2,200 rpm as standard, with an upgraded option reaching 3,500 rpm, and is powered by a 148 HP motor rated for 30 minutes, upgradeable to 175 HP. The system supports up to four axes with an optional U-axis for enhanced flexibility. The tool management system includes an automatic tool changer (ATC) that holds 40 tools, expandable up to 500, with a tool change time of 10 seconds and chip-to-chip time of 15 seconds, allowing for efficient production. Optional pallet changers can be integrated to further improve throughput. Axis travels include X up to 157" (optional 197"), Y up to 118" (optional 393"), and Z up to 63", with a rapid traverse rate of 866 ipm on all axes and a maximum feed rate of 236 ipm.
