A+Technical Description
The Union T 110 Horizontal Machining Center is a robust, high-precision CNC machine designed for heavy-duty horizontal milling and boring tasks. It features a large work table measuring 50" x 40" (optional 63" x 50") capable of supporting workpieces up to 13,200 lbs, with an optional support index table and a standard rotary table that rotates 360°. The horizontal spindle accepts CAT #50 taper tooling, optionally HSK 63, with a top speed of 5,000 RPM (optional 6,000 RPM) and a powerful 49 HP motor rated for 30 minutes. The machine offers a configurable automatic tool changer (ATC) with a standard 40-tool capacity, expandable to 120 tools, providing rapid tool changes at 2 seconds per tool and 15 seconds chip-to-chip time. Optional pallet changers support up to 4 pallets for efficient workpiece handling. It operates on 5 axes (expandable to 6 with an optional U axis) with generous travels: 59" (opt. 78") on X, 78" (opt. 98") on Y, and 39" (opt. 59") on Z axes, all capable of rapid traverse speeds up to 708 inches per minute and max feed rates of 236 ipm. The rotary axes include a 110° A-axis and a full 360° B-axis rotation. The T 110 is engineered for precise and flexible machining of large components, combining high payload capacity, extensible tooling options, and multi-axis control to accommodate complex machining operations with high accuracy and productivity.
