The WEMAS VZG 72-5A is a high-performance vertical machining center designed for precision 5-axis machining. With a working envelope of X: 28.35 inches, Y: 23.62 inches, and Z: 20.47 inches, it offers ample space for complex part production. The machine is powered by a 20.77 hp spindle capable of reaching 12,000 RPM, ensuring efficient material removal and fine surface finishes. It features an HSK 63A taper for secure tool holding and high rigidity during demanding operations. The CNC control is the Heidenhain TNC 640, a state-of-the-art contouring control system renowned for its versatility and reliability in milling, turning, grinding, and high-speed machining applications. The TNC 640 supports up to 24 control loops and enables seamless switching between milling and turning modes under program control, allowing complete part processing in a single setup. Its advanced digital drive technology and integration with HEIDENHAIN encoders via EnDat 2.2 ensure high contour accuracy and rapid machining at high speeds.
