The WFL M100 Horizontal Machining Center is a 5-axis multifunctional mill-turn machine engineered for complex, high-precision machining tasks. It features a robust main spindle capable of handling turning diameters up to 34.25 inches (870 mm) and turning lengths up to 78.7 inches (2000 mm). The spindle is powered by a 95 HP motor, delivering up to 1,600 RPM, with a maximum swing of 35.43 inches (900 mm) and a 19.69-inch (500 mm) chuck diameter. The machine accommodates a maximum of 90 tools on the automatic tool changer (ATC), including rotary tools rated at 40 HP with speeds up to 6,000 RPM, enabling versatile machining operations such as milling, drilling, and turning. Axis travels are substantial for versatile part handling: the X, Y, and Z axes provide travels of 36.22 inches (920 mm), 23.62 inches (600 mm), and 78 inches (1980 mm) respectively, with rapid traverse and feed rates of up to 590 inches per minute (15 m/min). The sturdy construction includes a 60° slant bed made of grey cast iron, enhancing rigidity and vibration damping for superior surface finishes and dimensional accuracy. Advanced CNC control enables interpolation of five axes, allowing the machining of complex geometric profiles in a single setup.
