The Yama Seiki AWEA MB-1512 Horizontal Machining Center features a robust design optimized for heavy-duty precision machining. It offers a large table size of 49.21" x 45.27" capable of supporting workpieces up to 8,800 lbs. The machine operates with a horizontal spindle configuration, using a BBT50 taper spindle rated at 35 hp (30-minute rating) and a maximum speed of 3,200 RPM. This setup ensures ample power for demanding machining tasks. The MB-1512 supports 5-axis simultaneous machining with travel ranges of 59.05" in X, 47.24" in Y, and 35.43" in Z, along with a full 360° B-axis rotary capability, enabling complex part geometries and angular machining. The machine’s rapid traverse rates reach up to 590 inches per minute in all three linear axes, providing efficient material removal and cycle times. It includes a 40-position tool carrier with up to 60 tools capacity, allowing for extensive tooling flexibility and automated tool changes.
