The YAMA SEIKI GOODWAY GLS-150 is a high-speed horizontal machining center designed for precision turning and multi-tasking applications. Featuring a 30° slant-bed construction, the machine ensures excellent rigidity, smooth chip disposal, and easy operator access. The main spindle delivers a maximum turning diameter of 15.74" and a turning length of 13.38", with a 6" chuck and a maximum bar diameter capacity of 1.77". The spindle achieves speeds up to 6,000 RPM and is powered by a 10 HP motor, providing robust performance for both heavy and precision cutting. The machine is equipped with a 12-station turret, supporting up to 12 turning tools and 6 rotary tools, with each rotary tool offering up to 2.1 HP and 4,400 RPM for live tooling operations. Standard configuration includes 2-axis control (X and Z), with optional Y-axis for enhanced multi-tasking and off-center machining. Axis travels are 8.46" on X and 20.47" on Z, with rapid traverse rates of 945 ipm on all axes. The GLS-150 supports simultaneous use of one cutting tool and integrates advanced features such as programmable tailstock, high-efficiency servo indexing, and optional C-axis for milling and drilling operations.
