Technical Description

The Yasda YBM 8T-TT is a high-precision horizontal 5-axis machining center featuring a highly rigid, 630 x 630 mm (24.8" x 24.8") symmetric trunnion table capable of supporting up to 1,760 lbs of workpiece weight. Its horizontal spindle uses a BT50 taper with a top speed of 10,000 RPM standard, and optional high-speed spindles up to 30,000 RPM. The spindle motor delivers 30 HP (30-minute rating) standard, upgradeable to 40 HP for demanding tasks. The machine includes an automatic tool changer (ATC) standard with 60 tools, expandable up to 450 tools with optional magazines, facilitating high productivity and versatility. A pallet changer is optional with 2 pallets standard, expandable up to 5 pallets to enhance workholding flexibility and reduce setup time. The YBM 8T-TT provides substantial travel ranges: 39.37" on X and Y axes, 43.31" on the Z axis, with rotary axes A and B ranging from 120° and a full 360°, respectively, allowing complex 5-axis machining. The machine features rapid traverse rates up to 1,572 inches per minute on XYZ axes, supporting efficient high-speed machining. Designed with thermal distortion stabilizing systems and hybrid box guide ways, the center ensures exceptional rigidity, thermal stability, and positional accuracy, plus optical scale feedback on XYZ axes. The direct drive spindle with preload self-adjusting system delivers consistent precision across speeds, and the centrally positioned spindle head enhances overall accuracy and repeatability.
