Technical Description
This vertical machining center features a large rectangular table measuring 128.35" (L) x 59.06" (W), supporting workpieces up to 22,046 lbs, enabling heavy-duty machining operations. It is equipped with a BT50 spindle taper in a vertical orientation, delivering a top spindle speed of 4,500 RPM standard, with an optional increase up to 6,000 RPM. The spindle motor has a 30-minute rating of 29.5 HP, providing robust power for demanding cutting tasks. Tooling is handled by a 40-position automatic tool changer (ATC) drum, which can be optionally expanded to 60 tools, facilitating versatile and efficient tool management.
The machine operates on 3 axes (X, Y, Z) with travels of 120.47" in X, 62.99" in Y, and 30" in Z, extendable optionally to 40" in Z. All axes support maximum feed rates of 394 IPM and rapid traverse speeds of 590 IPM, ensuring high productivity and swift positioning. The absence of a U axis indicates a standard 3-axis configuration suitable for a wide range of milling, drilling, and boring applications. The BT50 spindle interface provides enhanced rigidity and stability for heavy and precision machining, suitable for large tooling and high torque operations. This configuration combines substantial table capacity, powerful spindle torque and horsepower, extensive travel, and a high-capacity tool changer to support complex, large-scale, and production-intensive CNC machining tasks.
