1980 Yoder M2-2 1/2 Induction Tube Mill Line, 100 Fpm, Yoder 6-Stand Roughing, 4-Stand Sizing

The 1980 Yoder M2-2 1/2 is a complete high-frequency induction tube mill line designed for producing steel tubing at speeds of approximately 100 feet per minute. The system features a Yoder 6-stand tube roughing mill and a Yoder 4-stand sizing mill equipped with a Loopco turks-head and a model 300C sizing head. Material handling is managed by a Littell 4,000 lb. capacity double-end coil reel (model 40-12) with a 12-inch maximum width, followed by a Whitney Jensen strip shear and a Lee Shafer strip butt welder system integrated with a vertical accumulator tower. The welding section utilizes a Thermatool model VT100 high-frequency induction welder with dedicated controls and a cooling zone featuring a built-in recirculating coolant tank and paper filter. Post-processing is handled by a Pro-Eco 4-post flying cutoff shear with an air clutch and central pedestal controls. The line accommodates a variety of tube tooling for various round and oval sizes and includes three spare Yoder roll stands. Support equipment consists of two jib cranes, including a 12-foot tall 3-ton unit with an 11-foot reach and a 10-foot tall 2-ton unit with a 16-foot reach, both utilizing Yale electric chain hoists, alongside 36-inch by 12-foot steel tube carriers.
