The Lucifer Furnaces HL82-M24 is a dual-chamber industrial heat treat and draw furnace manufactured in 2023. This unit features a hardening furnace over a tempering oven configuration. The upper hardening chamber reaches a maximum temperature of 2300°F (1260°C), while the lower tempering chamber reaches 1200°F (649°C). Both chambers have internal dimensions of 12 inches high by 12 inches wide by 24 inches deep. The furnace is rated for 26 kW and operates on 230V, 3-phase, 60 Hz power with a 68-amp draw. The hearth is designed to support workloads up to 50 lbs. per square foot. Construction consists of a welded sheet metal single shell with multi-layered energy-efficient firebrick and mineral block insulation. Heating is provided by heavy-gauge coil-wound low-watt density elements mounted in holders on the sides, back, and doors. Control systems include digital temperature controllers with type K thermocouples and magnetic contactors for each chamber. Safety features include a micro-switch that interrupts power to the elements and fan when doors are opened. The upper chamber utilizes a manual vertical lift door, while the lower chamber features a horizontal swing door.
