What's the difference between a horizontal and a vertical band saw?
A horizontal band saw cuts bar, tube and structural stock to length, usually with a vise and a gravity or hydraulic feed. A vertical band saw stands the blade upright for contour cutting, internal cuts and tool-room work — throat depth and table size are the specs that matter. Aucto lists both, used, in stock.
Are these woodworking band saws?
No. This category is industrial metal-cutting band saws and circular cold saws — the machines a fabrication shop uses on steel, stainless and non-ferrous stock. Benchtop woodworking saws are not what you'll find here.
