A+Technical Description
The ACRA FEL-E28/32 is a heavy-duty horizontal CNC turning center designed for precision and reliability in demanding machining environments. Featuring a robust one-piece Meehanite base with heavily ribbed double-wall construction and integral box ways, the machine delivers exceptional rigidity and vibration damping. The main spindle offers a maximum turning diameter of 21.600 inches and a turning length of up to 200.000 inches, with a 12.000-inch chuck diameter and a maximum swing of 28.000 inches. Powered by a 20 HP motor, the spindle operates at speeds from 3 to 1,500 RPM and is supported by three C-7 angular contact bearings for high accuracy and durability. The machine is equipped with a tool post primary tool carrier, supporting up to 8 turning tools, with the capability for one simultaneous cutting tool. It features a 2-axis control system, with X-axis travel of 16.000 inches and Z-axis travel of 75.000 inches (optionally extendable to 195.000 inches). Both X and Z axes offer a maximum feed rate of 20 inches per minute and a rapid traverse of 393 inches per minute, ensuring efficient material removal and fast cycle times. The FANUC 0T-C control system provides intuitive operation and high repeatability. The ACRA FEL-E28/32 is ideal for a wide range of turning applications, from bar work to chucking, and is suitable for industries requiring high-precision, heavy-duty machining.
