THE 2012 AGIECHARMILLES CUT 20 P IS A HIGH-PRECISION WIRE ELECTRICAL DISCHARGE MACHINING (EDM) TOOL DESIGNED FOR MANUFACTURING INTRICATE COMPONENTS WITH TIGHT TOLERANCES. IT FEATURES A RIGID T-SHAPED CAST IRON BASE FRAME TO SUPPORT LARGE WORKPIECES WITHOUT COMPROMISING ACCURACY. THE MACHINE PROVIDES A WORKING TRAVEL OF 350 MM (13.78 IN) ON THE X-AXIS, 250 MM (9.84 IN) ON THE Y-AXIS, AND 250 MM (9.84 IN) ON THE Z-AXIS, WITH U AND V AXIS TRAVELS OF ±45 MM. IT ACCOMMODATES WORKPIECES UP TO 1030 X 800 X 350 MM IN SIZE AND 1000 KG IN WEIGHT. THE CUT 20 P IS EQUIPPED WITH A HIGH-PERFORMANCE IPG-V GENERATOR AND AN ANTI-ELECTROLYSIS POWER SUPPLY, ENABLING SURFACE FINISHES AS FINE AS RA 0.25 ΜM. IT UTILIZES A SUBMERGED CUTTING SYSTEM AND SUPPORTS STANDARD WIRE DIAMETERS RANGING FROM 0.15 MM TO 0.30 MM. INTEGRATED TECHNOLOGIES INCLUDE AN AUTOMATIC WIRE THREADING (AWT) SYSTEM, A THERMOCUT WIRE PREPARATION UNIT, AND COLLISION PROTECTION FOR THE X, Y, AND Z AXES. THE CNC CONTROL SYSTEM FEATURES A WINDOWS-BASED GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE WITH ONBOARD CAM CAPABILITIES FOR DIRECT ISO FILE PREPARATION AND DXF DATA IMPORT. ADDITIONAL PRECISION IS ENSURED THROUGH LINEAR GLASS SCALES AND ENCODERS ON THE X AND Y AXES FOR ENHANCED POSITIONING REPEATABILITY.
