The AgieCharmilles CUT 2000 X is a precision wire EDM machine engineered for high-accuracy cutting applications in demanding manufacturing environments. Featuring a compact yet capable work envelope with X, Y, and Z travel dimensions of 13.77, 9.84, and 10 inches respectively, this machine accommodates workpieces up to 750 x 550 x 250 mm and weighing up to 200 kg. The machine is equipped with a Vision 5 CNC control system that delivers exceptional repeatability and positioning accuracy of ±1.5 µm pitch over the entire 350 x 250 mm work area. The CUT 2000 X offers wire diameter capabilities ranging from 0.10 to 0.30 mm, with optional ultra-fine 0.05-0.07 mm options for micro-machining applications. It achieves a minimum surface roughness of 0.08 µm Ra for standard operations, with the OilTech version delivering enhanced surface finish down to 0.05 µm Ra. The machine supports maximum taper angles of ±30° per 100 mm height, enabling complex angled cuts for precision tooling and die applications. Featuring dual 25 kg wire spools for automatic wire changeover capability, the CUT 2000 X eliminates setup modifications when switching between wire sizes.
