A+Technical Description
The ALZMETALL GS 600E/3 is a precision vertical machining center engineered for advanced hybrid-machining applications including drilling, milling, turning, and grinding operations at a single clamping setup. Built with grey cast iron and spheroidal graphite cast iron construction, the machine features the proprietary ALZMETALL-Gantry-Concept (AGK) design for enhanced rigidity and thermal stability. The three-axis configuration offers traverse paths of 460mm (X-axis), 600mm (Y-axis), and 400mm (Z-axis), accommodating workpieces up to 750kg including clamping devices. The monobloc travel-system carriage incorporates a Box-in-Box system with 2-fold linear guidance for X-Y travel and 4-fold linear guidance for the Z-axis, ensuring excellent axis dynamics and parallel-path precision. The 34.78 hp spindle delivers maximum speeds of 18,000 RPM with HSK-A63 taper tooling, supported by a 40-position automatic tool changer. The static machining table measures 23.62" x 24.80" with a maximum load capacity of 500kg and features a Ø50 H7mm center bore with T-slots per DIN 650. CNC control is provided by either Heidenhain TNC 640 or Siemens SINUMERIK 840D SL. Standard equipment includes 3D-touch probes with infrared transmission, automatic tool setting systems, and integrated mist extraction units. Optional configurations support tool magazines with up to 224 positions, high-pressure cooling systems to 80 bar, and automated workpiece or pallet-changing systems for production flexibility.
