This vertical spindle CNC machining center features a 42" × 18" work table capable of supporting workpieces up to 992 lbs, with optional support for index and rotary tables for enhanced versatility. The machine operates on three axes standard (expandable to four with optional B-axis), providing 34" of X-axis travel, 20" of Y-axis travel, and 24" of Z-axis travel, all with maximum feed rates of 250 ipm and rapid traverse speeds of 360 ipm. The vertical spindle utilizes a #40 taper and operates at a standard top speed of 6,000 RPM, with an optional upgrade to 8,000 RPM for increased cutting efficiency. The spindle is rated at 7.5 HP for standard operation, with an optional 10 HP upgrade available for more demanding applications. The machine accommodates 16 cutting tools in an armless carrier, expandable to 20 tools optionally, with exceptionally fast tool change times of just 9 seconds, minimizing non-productive machining time. The optional fourth B-axis provides 360° rotational capability for complex multi-face machining operations.
