A+Technical Description
The BAOMA BM500D is a closed-loop CNC wire EDM (Electro Discharge Machining) machine designed for high-precision metal cutting applications. This advanced system utilizes spark erosion technology, employing a wire electrode (typically molybdenum) to create non-contact cuts in workpieces through electrical discharge. The machine features a worktable measuring 785×500mm with table travel of 400×500mm (approximately 15.75×19.69 inches), accommodating workpieces up to 500mm thick with maximum taper angles of ±3° for thicknesses up to 100mm. Equipped with a BMW-2008 CNC controller, the BM500D offers four-axis simultaneous movement (X, Y, U, V) via servo control and dual step-motors, enabling precise positioning and complex geometry machining. The system operates at a maximum cutting speed of 120mm²/min with wire speeds ranging from 5-11 m/min and a maximum working current of 6 amperes. Wire diameter specifications range from 0.15-0.2mm, with achievable surface roughness of ≤1.5μm after three cutting passes and octagonal precision tolerances of ≤0.015mm. The machine utilizes BM-2 or BM-4 water-based working solution within a 56-liter reservoir and operates on three-phase 380V/50Hz power supply with 3KVA consumption. Weighing 2000kg, the BM500D features high-quality ball screws and steel linear guideways for enhanced rigidity. Direct AutoCAD .dxf file upload capability enables seamless integration with CAD design software, making it suitable for producing intricate, finely detailed components in various metal applications.
