A+Technical Description
The Bridgeport V320 5F Vertical Machining Center is a high-performance 4+1 axis machine designed for precision and versatility in small to medium part machining. It features X, Y, and Z travel capacities of 20.08" x 24.00" x 20.08" respectively, powered by a 30 HP (22 kW) spindle motor delivering speeds up to 10,000 RPM, with optional upgrades to 12,000 or 15,000 RPM. The machine incorporates a No. 40 BIG-PLUS® spindle taper for increased rigidity and spindle longevity. A 30-tool servo-driven automatic tool changer enhances productivity by reducing setup time. Its robust structure, including a strategically ribbed base, column, and spindle carrier, combined with double-nut ball screws and pre-tensioned, large-diameter ballscrews on all axes, ensures exceptional rigidity, stable accuracy, and minimal thermal growth. The integrated 2-axis trunnion rotary table enables 4-axis simultaneous machining plus one positioning axis to machine five faces in a single setup, significantly improving throughput and precision. Control is managed via the Mitsubishi M80 CNC system featuring a 10.4” color LCD with advanced programming and interface options. The machine includes standard features such as an oil chiller, chip conveyor, coolant flush system, coolant washdown gun, and preparation for through spindle coolant with rotary union. Its footprint measures 144.22" x 118.12" x 125.40" and weighs approximately 16,050 lbs, making it a stable yet space-efficient solution for demanding metal-cutting applications requiring high accuracy and repeatability.
