A+Technical Description
The Burkhardt+Weber MCR 1100 is a robust horizontal machining center designed for heavy-duty and high-precision machining applications. It features a large table measuring 31.49" by 39.37" that supports workpieces up to 6,600 lbs, enabling the handling of substantial components. The spindle is horizontally oriented with an HSK-A 100 taper, delivering a top speed of 5,500 RPM, optionally upgradeable to 10,000 RPM, powered by a 49.3 HP motor rated for 30-minute intervals. The machine supports three linear axes (X: 62.99", Y: 49.21" with an optional 55.12", Z: 49.21" with an optional 70.87") with high rapid traverse rates of up to 787 inches per minute, enabling efficient movement and precision. A full 360° B-axis rotation adds contouring capabilities, although no U axis is present. Tool handling is supported by an automatic tool changer (ATC) with a standard capacity of 120 tools and an optional expansion up to 570 tools, with a chip-to-chip tool change time of approximately 17 seconds. An optional pallet changer supports up to two pallets as standard or expands to eight, facilitating automated part loading and increased throughput. The MCR 1100 is engineered for stable, high-performance machining of large, heavy workpieces with flexible tooling and automation options suitable for complex manufacturing processes.
