The Burkhardt+Weber MCX 2000 is a high-performance horizontal machining center engineered for demanding industrial applications. Featuring a robust table size of 78.8 x 98.43 inches and a maximum workpiece capacity of 88,000 lbs, it is designed for machining large, heavy components with exceptional stability. The machine is equipped with a standard support index table and offers an optional rotary table for enhanced versatility. Its horizontal spindle utilizes an HSK-A 100 taper, delivering up to 4,000 rpm (6,000 rpm optional) and 49.3 HP (80 HP optional) for powerful, high-torque cutting performance. Tooling is managed by an automatic tool changer (ATC) with a standard capacity of 120 tools, expandable to 570, and a rapid tool change chip time of 15 seconds. An optional pallet changer supports up to 2 pallets (expandable to 8), maximizing productivity. The MCX 2000 operates on 3 standard axes (expandable to 4), with X-axis travel up to 161.42 inches, Y-axis up to 118 inches, and Z-axis at 98.43 inches, all achieving a maximum feed rate and rapid traverse of 1,179 ipm. The B-axis provides full 360° indexing for complex part orientation.
