The Clausing 2287 Upright Drill Press is a heavy-duty, precision machine designed for versatile industrial drilling applications. It features a 20-inch swing and a powerful 1.5 HP motor, providing infinitely variable spindle speeds ranging from 150 to 2,000 RPM, with distinct low and high ranges (150–1,000 RPM low; 300–2,000 RPM high). The spindle incorporates a #3 Morse taper and offers 6-1/2 inches of travel, allowing for accurate hole depths with ±0.001-inch precision. The drill press can handle tough materials with a capacity of up to 1-1/4 inches in cast iron and up to 3/4 inch in mild steel.
