The C.R. Onsrud Inc. F98HM Hybrid Mill Series is a fully enclosed, 5-axis vertical machining center engineered for high-precision, high-speed production in demanding industries such as aerospace, defense, and automotive. Featuring a robust 60" x 96" table, the machine provides a large work envelope with X, Y, and Z travels of 122", 196", and 41" respectively, enabling the machining of sizable and complex parts. The vertical spindle utilizes an HSK 63F taper, supporting a maximum speed of 24,000 RPM and a 30-minute power rating of 15 HP, ensuring high torque and accuracy for nonferrous materials, composites, and advanced alloys. Tool management is handled by a 24-position automatic tool changer (ATC), facilitating efficient tool changes and continuous operation. The machine achieves rapid traverse rates of 4,200 ipm on all axes, with a maximum feed rate of 3,000 ipm, optimizing throughput and productivity.
