DIXI MACHINES JIG 1200 HORIZONTAL MACHINING CENTER

The DIXI Machines JIG 1200 is a high-precision 4-axis horizontal machining center designed for heavy-duty and high-accuracy milling tasks. It features a large work table measuring 49.21" x 39.3" (alternative 39.3" x 39.3") and supports workpieces up to 5,500 lbs. The machine is equipped with a SK 50 Big Plus spindle taper, optionally upgradeable to HSK 100A, capable of reaching speeds up to 12,000 RPM and powered by a 52 HP motor rated for 30 minutes, ensuring robust cutting performance. The tool handling system includes an Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) with a standard capacity of 108 tools, expandable up to 264, and tool change times of 6 seconds per tool and 13 seconds chip-to-chip. The machine's travel spans 47.24" (X), 43.31" (Y), and 43.31" (Z) axes, each with maximum feed rates of 394 in/min and rapid traverse speeds of 786 in/min. Additionally, the rotary axes include 180° on the A-axis and a full 360° on the B-axis, allowing complex 4-axis machining. The JIG 1200 delivers volumetric positioning accuracy below 15 microns across the entire machining volume, with bidirectional positioning accuracy near 0.99 microns and repeatability of 0.9 microns, supported by highly rigid structure and precision guideways. This combination enables stable, high-speed, and high-precision machining ideal for small lot manufacturing while accommodating heavy workpieces, making it suitable for demanding aerospace, automotive, and tooling applications.
