It features a rotary trunnion table (5th axis) with a swivel range of B-axis from -35° to +110°, supporting large workpieces up to 24.8" diameter and 19.7" height, with a maximum pallet size of 23.62" x 19.69". The machine offers generous travel ranges of 25.59" (X), 20.47" (Y), and 18.70" (Z), paired with rapid traverse speeds up to 1654 IPM for efficient machining cycles. Equipped with a high-speed spindle taper HSK63, the ULTRASONIC 50 spindle delivers up to 20,000 RPM powered by a robust 47 HP motor, ensuring high material removal rates and surface finish quality. The tool magazine holds up to 120 tools with a chain-type automatic tool changer facilitating quick tool swaps. Precision is enhanced by features such as direct path measuring systems in all axes, cooled table bearings, and an integrated Renishaw PP60 optical measuring probe for in-process measurement and tool setting. The ULTRASONIC technology advances machining by superimposing ultrasonic vibration on the tool rotation with amplitudes up to 15 µm via the HSK-A63 interface, reducing process forces by up to 50%, thereby extending tool life and enabling higher feed rates and ultra-fine surface finish down to Ra <0.1 µm. Machine protection controls, amplitude detection, an electric handwheel, and a 21.5" multi-touch screen with 3D QuickSET provide intuitive operation and monitoring. Chip removal is handled through an integrated chip conveyor, supporting continuous automated production.
