A+Technical Description
The DN Solutions NHP 8000 is a high-performance horizontal machining center designed for heavy-duty cutting and high-speed precision. It features a robust CAT50 Big Plus spindle with a maximum speed of 10,000 RPM and a powerful 37 kW (50 hp) motor utilizing a dual-wound "virtual gearbox" design for high torque at low speeds, enabling heavy chip load roughing and rapid acceleration. The machine supports a large work envelope with axis travels of 55.1" (X), 47.2" (Y), and 53.9" (Z), and it can handle workpieces up to 4,409 lbs on its 31.5" x 31.5" table. The spindle system offers simultaneous taper and flange contact for enhanced rigidity and surface finish quality. The machine is equipped with a 40-tool automatic tool changer (expandable up to 376 tools) with a fast 2-second tool change time, supporting high productivity. It operates on three axes with roller-type linear motion guides and pre-tensioned ball screws featuring ball nut cooling to minimize thermal growth and maintain precision over extended cycles. Rapid traverse rates reach up to 1,968 ipm, optimizing machining efficiency. The NHP 8000’s advanced structure includes FEM-optimized construction to ensure stability and durability. It supports 2 pallets but does not include a pallet changer as standard. This robust machining center combines rigidity, power, precision, and automation, making it suitable for a wide range of demanding manufacturing applications requiring large part capacity and high throughput.
