Technical Description

The 2024 Dynapac CA1500D is a single drum static smooth drum roller designed for efficient soil compaction with an operating mass of up to 18,700 lbs. It features a 66-inch wide smooth drum with a diameter of 48 inches and a drum shell thickness of 0.87 inches, providing a static linear load of 118 lbs/inch. The roller offers a maximum theoretical gradeability of 55% and vertical oscillation capability of ±9°, enhancing performance on uneven terrain. The wheelbase measures 106 inches, supporting stability and maneuverability with an inside turning radius of 10 feet and outside radius of 16 feet. Powered by a Cummins engine delivering rated power of either 74 kW (100 hp) or 55 kW (75 hp) at 2,200 rpm depending on engine configuration, it features a hydrostatic drive and steering system permitting a steering angle of ±38°.
