Technical Description

The Dynapac CS1400N is a static three-drum smooth drum roller designed for high-quality asphalt compaction on sensitive surfaces such as bridges and near structures where vibration is not permitted. It features an articulated steering design with a 35-degree steering angle and a compact turning radius, providing excellent maneuverability in confined areas. The machine is powered by a Deutz TD 3.6 L4 IIIB water-cooled turbo diesel engine delivering 73.8 hp (54 kW) at 2200 rpm, ensuring reliable performance with low fuel consumption. It has a maximum operating weight of 28,665 lb (13,000 kg) and a compaction width of 82.7 in (2,100 mm), with a static linear load of 280 lb/in across all three drums for uniform compaction. The drum diameter is 59.1 in (1,500 mm), and the roller’s oscillating capability allows an oscillation angle of 9 degrees for improved surface conformity. Standard equipment includes a hydrostatic service brake controlled via forward and reverse levers and a failsafe multidisc brake on all three drums for secure parking. The CS1400N has an overall length of 188.2 in (4,780 mm), a width of 7.1 ft (2,160 mm), a height to the top of the cab of 11.4 ft (3,470 mm), and a ground clearance of 13 in (330 mm). It is equipped with a 29-gallon fuel tank and a 140-gallon water spray system to prevent material adhesion.
