The Dynapac CS1400N (T3) is a static smooth drum roller designed for medium to large-scale asphalt compaction, particularly effective for asphalt layers up to 50 mm thick. It features three drums of equal diameter (59.1 in) and width (82.7 in), ensuring uniform static linear load distribution of 280 lb/in across all drums, optimizing compaction coverage. The roller has a compact articulated frame with a turning radius of 11.7 ft inside and 18.6 ft outside, facilitating maneuverability on job sites. Its overall dimensions include a length of 188.2 in, width of 7.1 ft, height to the cab top of 11.4 ft, and ground clearance of 13 in. Powering the CS1400N is a water-cooled turbocharged Deutz TD 3.6 L4 IIIB diesel engine delivering 73.8 hp at 2300 rpm. The engine is known for low emissions (Tier 3 compliant), reliability, and efficient fuel consumption with a fuel tank capacity of 29.1 gallons. The roller operates at a maximum speed of 9.4 mph and weighs approximately 28,660 lbs in operating condition with ROPS. The braking system consists of a failsafe multidisc parking brake on all three drums and a hydrostatic service brake operable in both forward and reverse. Steering has a 35-degree angle with a 9-degree oscillating angle for adaptable ground contact. A water spray system with a tank capacity of 140.1 gallons maintains drum surface moisture to prevent asphalt adhesion.
