A+Technical Description
The ESCO NM 64X is a precision Swiss-type horizontal machining center engineered for high-speed production of small-diameter parts. This machine features dual main spindles operating at 12,000 RPM with 1.00 HP each, capable of turning stock up to 0.250" in diameter with a maximum working length of 2.360". The NM 64X accepts coil-fed material, eliminating downtime associated with bar stock changeover and reducing scrap waste compared to traditional feeding methods. Equipped with a FANUC 18i CNC control system, the machine provides intuitive programming and simple setup capabilities. The tool configuration includes four turning tools and four rotary tools operating at 12,000 RPM maximum, with simultaneous cutting capability enabling complex multi-operation machining. The two-axis design delivers rapid traverse rates of 590 IPM across both X and Z axes, minimizing non-productive time and maximizing cycle efficiency. The NM 64X accommodates simultaneous front and back-side machining operations through its counter collet system, allowing operators to complete intricate part geometries in a single setup. This machine represents an excellent solution for mass production and sample manufacturing of precision small parts, delivering reliable and efficient operation with an excellent price-to-performance ratio. The robust construction, combined with flexible secondary machining capabilities, makes it suitable for producing both simple and complex turned components requiring high precision and repeatability.
