A+Technical Description
The Feeler FBM-130R Horizontal Machining Center is engineered for heavy-duty, precise horizontal boring and milling operations. It features a large table measuring 79" x 71" capable of supporting up to 33,000 lbs of workpiece weight. Its horizontal spindle, with a CAT 50 taper, delivers up to 2,000 RPM powered by a 35 HP motor rated for 30 minutes. The machine includes a 40-tool automatic tool changer, with optional capacity expanding to 120 tools, and a tool change time of 15 seconds. The 5-axis configuration provides extensive machining flexibility, with travels of 118" (X1), 98" (Y1), and 67" (Z1), each axis capable of rapid traverse speeds up to 472 inches per minute. Although it does not feature a U axis, its FANUC 18i-MB(A) CNC control (standard on similar models) enables complex machining cycles with high accuracy. The machine incorporates Heidenhain linear scales on three axes and automatic tool length measurement for enhanced precision. Its robust design supports high rigidity and stability during heavy machining. This combination of large work envelope, substantial load capacity, and advanced tool management makes the FBM-130R highly suitable for large-scale industrial applications requiring precision and throughput in horizontal machining tasks.
