The FEELER VMP-40(A) Vertical Machining Center is a high-performance CNC machine designed for precision 3-axis milling operations. Built with a robust Meehanite cast iron structure, it ensures long-term stability and resistance to deformation. The machine features an X-axis travel of 40.16 inches (1,020 mm), Y-axis travel of 20.47 inches (520 mm), and Z-axis travel of 19.88 inches (505 mm), providing ample working space for a variety of machining tasks. The worktable measures 45.28 inches (1,150 mm) in length and 20.47 inches (520 mm) in width, supporting versatile workpiece setups. The spindle delivers a maximum speed of 10,000 RPM and is equipped with a 7/24 #40 taper, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of tooling. With a spindle power of 14.75 hp (11 kW), the VMP-40(A) is capable of handling demanding metal cutting applications. The machine is fitted with a 22-tool automatic tool changer (ATC), enhancing productivity by minimizing downtime during tool changes. Rapid traverse rates are 40 m/min on the X and Y axes and 30 m/min on the Z axis, enabling fast and efficient machining cycles. The spindle nose-to-table distance ranges from 80 mm to 585 mm, and the column design incorporates an A-shaped structure for added rigidity. The Z-axis boxways are coated with low-friction Turcite B, improving cutting rigidity and accuracy.
